Amazing really how long the gap is between 1.5 being completely dismissed within the scientific community (it essentially had been when I left a decade ago), and politics/media catching on... which is frankly very unfair on most people - who just won't really know the scale of what's coming, because how would they.

Last fall, Pierre Poilievre blamed Prime Minister Trudeau for a diplomatic chill with India.
a) It has been revealed that India interfered in the Conservative leadership race in favour of Poilievre.
b) When it came to the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil, believed India's prime minister, Modi, over our own Canadian intelligence services.
Add this to PP's spectacular record of being wrong on everything of consequence.

Its not complicated.

Genocide is wrong.

I hope the youth continue to escalate.

I've been an adult for 22 years, voted regularly, and have continued to only experience Ratchet Politics that have cost me liberties, protections, & autonomy.

Enough is enough, & one vote one Tuesday in November is but a thread in the tapestry of collective actions available. Use them all.

This is the truth-what they failed to mention is that **provincial governments** are failing in these areas, not the feds.

Housing Crisis, Packed Hospitals and Food Lines: Even in Canada?

From Montreal to Vancouver, some residents are losing faith in a longstanding social safety net that is central to the country’s identity.

@gemelliz Look at the numbers for food bank usage in Ontario compared to the rest of the country

I'd certainly like to know what the U.S. military bigwigs plan to do if Trump keeps his promise, declares himself dictator on day one and starts ordering Homeland Security to grab people off the streets. Maybe the American press will ask them at some point.

A majority of the Supreme Court -- including the "justice" whose wife actively participated in the 2020 insurrection -- rewrote the 14th Amendment. They removed essentially all penalties for federal office holders who participate in attempts to overthrow elections.

Banana Republicans are consistently winning, and they see the finish line in November.

Vote as if your life depends on it, because it may well depend on it. slate.com/news-and-politics/20

Jean-François Lisée is Liséeing again. So, now would be a good time to remind you that he once spent at least 18 hours on twitter arguing that the Shoah was an example of anti-white racism.

This event, alone, should, in a sane society, be disqualifying from ever offering an opinion in public ever again. But, given how "cancel" culture actually works, he has a regular gig on Radio Canada and at Le Devoir.

Fucking stupid bebe lala asshole.

Western journalist may not know this, but became HUGE in Taiwan during the Taiwanese elections and it’s the perfect example of how Threads managed to capture entire markets that Twitter failed to attract.

And today, my Threads timeline is full of Taiwanese threatening to switch to platforms where they can freely talk politics (they are currently looking at Taiwanese platforms like Miin and Plurk. I hope they take a look at the rest of the Fediverse as well).
