Best path forward for Canada would be for NDP and Liberals to announce a temporary merger, with the sole goal of installing a system to end .

That done, the parties could separate and we could avoid both hells – sliding into a two-party system and a fascist conservative majority.

Even the conservatives themselves would likely split into sane vs MAGA-wannabe groups and we'd eventually have a tapestry of representation instead of perpetual polarization.

Trudeau mentions the failure of electoral reform. Claiming they had no support from other parties, which is... a lie or omission... since the NDP has long supported electoral reform. The LPC wouldn't even acknowledge the report. They ran on it and won a majority. That's all the support needed.

I've always understood the opposition to electoral reform comes from within the LPC, and nothing has changed that today.

dubbing over politicians speaking in french with a live english translation makes me unreasonably upset. Just let me listen to their words, in french. There isn’t even an option to toggle this
